Kids today are involved in the latest computer games. They know which machines are the fastest, and even can custom build their own, using nothing more than a Phillips screwdriver. Yet for all their cleverness, the kids have lost, because they have no real hobbies that forces them to think, or that stretches their imagination. When I was a child, I had plastic models, model railroading, and scratchbuilding. I still do these today, although the audience has dramatically declined. In what I learned, I apply to everything else in life, and am the better off for it.
